Faraday Bags
SecurityMan Faraday Bags for Phones, Laptops, Tablets & Key FobsYour devices are always talking. Now you decide when.
Drop your phone, laptop, tablet or car key fob in and fold the magnetic flap once. Its Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular, GPS and key fob signals are blocked by an EMF nickel-copper shielding lining. No apps, no settings to trust.

A setting can be switched back on. A Faraday bag can't.
Airplane mode, Bluetooth toggles and "location off" are all software. They only work if the device does what it says. A Faraday bag stops the signal before it can leave the bag.
Settings depend on software
A phone can be set to "off" and still pass data along later, and spyware or a hidden tracker won't announce itself. A Faraday bag for your phone blocks the signal physically, whatever the software is doing.
Key fobs never stop broadcasting
In a relay attack, thieves pick up your fob's signal through a wall or window and repeat it to your car to unlock it and drive away. A Faraday pouch for your key fob keeps the signal sealed in. A $19.99 key fob protector costs less than your insurance deductible.
Travel is when you're most exposed
Airports, hotels and public spaces are full of networks you don't control. Keep your laptop and tablet in a Faraday bag between uses so they're only connected when you choose.

A wall of metal fabric between your device and the world
Inside each bag is a Faraday lining of 20% copper, 20% nickel and 60% ripstop nylon, so it folds without cracking. The metal-coated fabric blocks radio waves, stopping signals going in or out at the lining. Every bag is certified to the MIL-STD-188-125 signal-blocking standard.
- Drop it in. The wide opening lets you slide your device in, with no snaps to fight.
- Fold once. Neodymium magnets snap the flap shut in a single fold. A fully closed flap is what makes the shielding work.
- You're offline. Lift the centered pull tab whenever you want to reconnect.
Built for daily carry: abrasion-resistant ballistic nylon outside, double-stitched seams and bound edges that won't fray in a pocket, bag or backpack.

You shouldn't have to trust a privacy product blindly. Check it at home with nothing but your phone and your car.
- Phone test: Seal your phone in the pouch and call it from another phone. It shouldn't ring.
- Key fob test: Seal the fob in its pouch and walk up to your car. Keyless entry shouldn't respond.
- Re-test now and then. Shielding fabric can wear with heavy use, so a quick check every few months keeps you confident.

Good questions, straight answers
Is it really certified?
Yes. SecurityMan Faraday bags are certified to MIL-STD-188-125, a US military standard for shielding against electromagnetic signals. You can also check it yourself with the 30-second test above.
Will a Faraday bag damage my phone or laptop?
No. The lining is passive fabric: no power, no magnets touching your screen, nothing active. Your device just loses signal while it's inside. Calls, texts and notifications come through once you take it out.
Can I still find my phone with Find My while it's in the bag?
No, and that's the point. While it's sealed, your phone can't send its location, so Find My (Apple) and Find My Device (Google) can't see it either. It will show its last known location until you take it out. If you might need to locate it, leave it out of the bag.
How is a Faraday bag different from an RFID-blocking wallet?
An RFID-blocking wallet only shields the short-range chips in cards. A Faraday bag, sometimes called an EMF bag, shields a much wider range of signals: cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and key fob signals, as well as RFID. That is why it works for phones, laptops, tablets and car keys.
Is this really better than airplane mode?
Airplane mode is a software setting, so it depends on the device doing what it says. A Faraday bag blocks the radio signal itself. If you're worried about tracking or a compromised device, physical blocking is the extra layer that doesn't depend on software.
Does the key fob protector work with my car?
It's made for keyless-entry and push-to-start fobs, which are the ones relay thieves target. It fits one fob plus up to four keys, depending on the fob, and the swivel-hook tether clips to your key ring so the fob stays attached when you take it out. The easiest check: seal your fob inside, walk up to your car and try the door. It shouldn't unlock.
How does relay theft work?
Keyless fobs constantly broadcast a short-range signal. Thieves use a relay device to pick it up from inside your home, often near the front door, and pass it to your car so it unlocks and starts. Sealed in the pouch, your fob's signal can't be picked up.
Which size do I need?
Laptop bag: laptops up to 16". Tablet bag: iPads and tablets up to 13" tall and 9" wide. Phone pouch: fits all phones. Key fob pouch: one fob plus up to four keys. Not sure, or carrying more than one device? The 4-piece set covers all of them.
Can I charge or use my device while it's in the bag?
No. Running a cable through the opening breaks the seal and lets signal through. Keep the bag fully closed while your device is inside.
What about shipping, returns and warranty?

Go offline whenever you choose.
It takes a relay thief seconds to copy a key fob signal. It takes you one fold to stop it. Protect your phone, laptop, tablet and car keys with one set, or start with the bag you need most.
